Steve & Chris’s River House Wedding

This beautiful fall wedding day unfolded at River House at Odette’s in New Hope, Pennsylvania (just across the bridge from Lambertville, New Jersey), where crisp autumn air and riverfront views set the tone from the very beginning. The day was spent celebrating this fine gay couple alongside their incredible chosen family, whose love and support filled every moment.
The entire day flowed effortlessly thanks to thoughtful planning by my girl Kassidy England Coordination! You may recognize her name if you were around when I hosted my Philly Photo Retreat in 2024. Hair by Jamie With The Good Hair and makeup by Jenna DePolis kept everyone stylin’ from first looks through the final dance, even as tears were freely flowing! The Pod Shop’s florals were fall romance in its softest form. Pinks, peaches, greens, reds, yellows, and the fluffiest hydrangeas frame the ceremony beneath the weeping willow along the New Hope canal path. And because they were too pretty to leave behind, they were repurposed for the head table!
Custom stationery by Cork & Chambers tied every detail together. From gorgeous table numbers highlighting meaningful locations in the grooms’ story, to an invitation suite featuring rich, fall-inspired tones, and the lyrics to their favorite song (which is also the song they ended the night with). As evening set in, the most talented band members from Deja Blue at BVTLive! kept the dance floor alive while the drinks continued to flow well into the night! Yes, they also played multiple Chappell Roan songs, so you know I was dancing and smiling through the entire night!
This is the second time I’ve had the joy of photographing Steve & Chris, the first being their engagement session in Old City, Philadelphia. Over that time, I’ve gotten to know their story, their connection, and the little details that make their love so special. All of which made documenting their wedding day all the more meaningful!
